Ventilation

Whole-home ventilation systems act as a solution to today’s tightly sealed homes, which are designed to save energy by reducing the escape of air.

These ventilation systems continually replace the entire volume of stale, contaminated air inside your home, with fresh outdoor air. They do this by:

  • Keeping air flowing throughout your home
  • Regulating humidity levels
  • Exhausting stale, polluted air to the outside
  • Replacing the exhausted air with fresh outdoor air

Whole-house ventilators are generally sold as heat-recovery ventilators (HRVs) or energy-recovery ventilators (ERVs). To ensure no energy is wasted, both types extract the heating or cooling you have put into your home’s climate before sending the air outdoors.
